ULOUK and Manchester Liberian Community Present: July 26, 2025 Celebration

The Union of Liberian Organizations in the United Kingdom (ULOUK), in proud collaboration with the Manchester Liberian Community—a dynamic coalition of four Liberian groups in Greater Manchester (Koukaipai Women Organization, Manchester Men, Liberia Mandingo Organization – Manchester, and Bolton)—is excited to host the 2025 July 26 Independence Celebration. This vibrant three-day event will take place from Friday, July 25 to Sunday, July 27, 2025, featuring a powerful blend of culture, fun, music, sports, and community bonding.

The Itinerary:

 

Day 1: Friday, July 25 – Cultural Showcase & Indoor Program

Friday’s program will highlight Liberia’s rich traditions and community dialogue. Activities include:

  • “Represent Your County” – A colourful cultural showcase
  • Panel Discussion – Thoughtful conversations on community and progress
  • Keynote Address – Delivered by Her Excellency, Ambassador Genevieve Kennedy

Guests will enjoy delicious food and an engaging atmosphere that reflects the heart of the Liberian spirit.

Day 2: Saturday, July 26 – Sports Day & Independence Ball

Daytime: Sports & Community Fun

  • Kickball
  • Football
  • Youth games
  • Networking opportunities
  • Family fun and community cheer

It’s a perfect setting for all ages to enjoy and connect.

Evening: Independence Ball – A Night to Remember
Saturday night brings the grand Independence Ball

Highlights of the evening include:

  • Live Performance by DenG (a.k.a. Uncle D) – Liberia’s international superstar
  • Sounds by DJ Splesh – One of Liberia’s finest behind the turntables
  • Hosted by MC Alvin Melody (Street Fries) – Keeping the crowd hyped
  • Theme: Rock your best 60s, 70s, or modern outfit and dance the night away!

Day 3: Sunday, July 27 – Barbecue & Farewell Cookout

Come relax, eat, laugh, and reflect on a weekend well spent with:

  • Grilled food & refreshments
  • Community interactions
  • Goodbyes and gratitude
  • A laid-back, family-friendly vibe

It’s the perfect way to close the celebration on a high note with food, music, and fellowship.  The celebrations were amazing memories were made to cherish until we rendezvous in 2026.
