On the 28 January 2022, the Ambassador @GurlyGibson Schwarz of the Embassy of Liberia UK kick starts ‘A Million Tree-Planting’ initiative’ in Margibi County, Liberia. The Ambassador is joined by students from Margibi County to plant the first tree.

Liberia has pledged its support for the global fight against climate change with the launch of ‘Creating Green Spaces’ initiative, with the aim of planting 1 million trees in 2022 as part of the tree planting program to reduce the effects of climate change.

“It was a good feeling to see students and people in the community excited to be a part of the effort to tackle climate change” Ambassador Gibson said.
