One Nation. One People.
Your Excellency, Madam President, I bring greetings from the people of Liberia and your Great Friend, His Excellency Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr., President of the Republic of Liberia for your personal wellbeing and that of the people of Ireland.
I am honoured to be nominated as Ambassador of Liberia to Ireland and hope that relations between our two countries will be further strengthened during the time of my assignment.
Allow me to recall the tremendous and invaluable assistance my country received from the Government and people of this great nation during the difficult years of our civil conflict. The genuine warm regards and friendship developed over many decades between our two countries and peoples were evident with the presence of Irish Troops in the United Nations Mission in Liberia that helped restore peace and security to my country. Liberians recall, with heartfelt appreciation, Irish Aid, which provided subsidy to launch many of our post-conflict civil programmes. It is my firm conviction that Ireland’s historic support, and its continued partnership today – in projects to reduce rural poverty by funding long-term agricultural, healthcare, and gender equality programmes— among others, will permanently affirm the profound spirit of fraternity that unites the people of Liberia and the people of Ireland.
Madam President; It is therefore my singular honour to present the Letter appointing I as Liberia’s Ambassador to Ireland along with the Letter of Recall of my predecessor.
